1: Law

currently being used by the Law Library. Solution: To relocate the Law Library to the center of the
main office area while accommodating the books for expansion.

Client 2: Multi-Medical
Practice - Rotary File
Product Situation:
The client was adding more doctors to their
existing filing system. It was at its capacity and could not be locked to provide
patient confidentiality. There was no other room in the office to relocate the
filing system. Solution: We proposed to install one Rotary Cabinet in the
existing space. This allowed us to keep the patient files close to the staff for
their use. As the practice grew, we added an additional Rotary Cabinet. This unit
was simply attached to the first Rotary Cabinet. We will add an additional Rotary
Cabinet soon. The Rotary Cabinet comes with roll-out work shelves and a lock to
keep patient files confidential.

3: Surgery
Center - Slide-a-Side Mobile Storage Situation:The
client was relocating their department into a new building and wanted to make
the best use of their space. Prior to relocation, patient files were stored in
multiple locations. They wanted to consolidate all the patient files as well as
storing those from previous years. Solution: We proposed the seven-compartment cabinets with
a slide-a-side deck and rail system. The system accommodates nine seven-compartment
locking cabinets for a total capacity of 2142 linear filing inches. The client
was able to house 12,852 patient files in one location, while keeping all patient
files confidential.

4: Multi-Medical
Practice- Wall-Mounted Cabinets Situation: The client has very limited space to house the
charts of patients that they were seeing that day. Because they also wanted to
be compliant with new laws based on patient confidentiality, they needed to be
able to lock up these patient files when not in use.
Solution: We proposed wall mounted, retractable, locking door
cabinets. These new cabinets were installed on the wall with wall tracks above
the printer. This gave the client 60 new linear inches of lockable patient file
storage.

5: Large
Suburban Medical Clinic - Five-Compartment Cabinets Situation: Patient records were delivered to various medical
departments every day by the medical records department for patient appointments.
The patient records were housed in these various departments on an open shelf
that was not lockable. The clinic was very concerned with being compliant with
the new laws of patient medical record confidentiality. (HIPAA), which state that
all patient information must be kept confidential and protected. Solution:
We proposed the five-compartment cabinets with a lock. The areas in all of the
various departments were very confining. The cabinet we used were 36 inches
wide by 13 1/2" deep. Each cabinet has three adjustable file supports for each
shelf. These allow the client the flexibility to section off each shelf for the
amount of patient files they need to store each day. These new cabinets are also
keeping patient files confidential.

6: Medical
Practice - Seven-Compartment
Cabinets Situation:
The client was running out of space and needed to add additional cabinets to accommodate
new patients' files. The existing cabinets were vertical drawer-type cabinets.
All patient information was kept in top-tab identifiable file folders. Filing
was difficult because the cabinets overwhelmed the small space and the drawers
were full.
Solution: To get the best possible use of their space, we
proposed seven-compartment locking cabinets. The seven-compartment cabinet
is 36 inches wide and 13 ½" inches deep. We also proposed a change in the
client's filing system: The new cabinet is designed to house files in a side-tab
identifiable format. With the additional use of factory supplied color-coding
labels, productivity will be enhanced by 40%. The new system also helps stop misfiles.
The client is able to house 3800 patient files in one location, in only two cabinets.
The new cabinets are also helpful in keeping all patient files confidential.
